Best Content Marketing Agencies in Austria (2026): 6 Agencies Reviewed

Austrian readers expect content in Austrian German, written by people who know the market – and many Austrian companies sell into Germany and Switzerland as well, so good content usually has to work across the D-A-CH region. This ranking is written for a company from the US, the UK, another EU country or the Nordics that wants to hire content marketing agencies in Austria for articles, newsletters, corporate media or lead-generation content. I am Adrian, an SEO consultant in Wrocław, and I write every ranking on this site myself. I kept 6 agencies, all registered in the Austrian Firmenbuch, and looked up each one’s company number (FN), managing directors and owners.

Content marketing agencies in Austria at a glance

If you only have a minute, these are the content marketing agencies in Austria I would shortlist as a foreign company, in the order I would contact them. Egger & Lerch is content-first; the others are search, performance or lead-generation agencies with a content service.

  1. Egger & Lerch – Vienna corporate-media agency for content, design and communication strategy, owned by STANDARD Medien AG.
  2. eMagnetix – Upper-Austrian performance agency with a content-marketing practice for strategy, newsletters and workshops.
  3. LIMESODA – Founder-owned Vienna SEO and web agency with a content-marketing service.
  4. seoCon – Founder-run Linz and Vienna consultancy for SEO-driven content marketing.
  5. .kloos – Small bilingual Vienna agency for SEO- and GEO-led B2B content.
  6. LeadEngine – Linz-area B2B lead-generation agency that creates content for HubSpot-based funnels.

How I ranked the content marketing agencies in Austria

I ranked the content marketing agencies in Austria by content specialisation first, how the content is used second and fit for a foreign client third:

  • Content specialisation – an agency whose core business is corporate media and content (Egger & Lerch) ranks above search and performance agencies with a content service (eMagnetix, LIMESODA, seoCon, .kloos) and a lead-generation agency where content feeds the funnel (LeadEngine).
  • What the content is for – strategy and newsletters planned with paid campaigns, SEO content, content for AI answers, or lead-generation content. I looked at what each agency describes on its own content page.
  • Track record – named clients and years on the market. None of the six names a client specifically for content on the pages I read, so I say which signal I used.
  • Fit for a foreign buyer – work in English and content for several markets, as at .kloos. Egger & Lerch presents itself in German only.
  • Reviews – LIMESODA, .kloos and LeadEngine have Clutch profiles but no reviews yet, and the other three have no profile, so I name the strongest other signal for each.
  • Registration and ownership – every agency is registered and headquartered in Austria. I read the FN number, managers and shareholders on evi.gv.at and the UID number in the imprint. I did not read filed accounts, so there are no revenue figures here.

The list includes only firms registered and headquartered in Austria, and I left out Austrian offices of international networks, as well as freelancers without a company. Egger & Lerch belongs to the Austrian publisher STANDARD Medien AG, which keeps it in the list – but a buyer should know that the agency’s owner also publishes a national newspaper. If you also need paid search, see my ranking of Google Ads agencies in Austria; for a full-service partner, see my list of marketing agencies in Austria.

The 6 best content marketing agencies in Austria, reviewed

Every content marketing agency in Austria below gets the same treatment: who they are, what clients say, the facts that matter when you hire, and my opinion on who should – and should not – work with them.

1. Egger & Lerch

Vienna corporate-media agency for content, design and communication strategy, owned by STANDARD Medien AG

Egger & Lerch is a Vienna corporate-media agency for content, design and communication strategy, run as a brand of velcom GmbH, a company registered in 1993. Disclosure on ownership: according to evi.gv.at, the sole shareholder of velcom GmbH is STANDARD Medien AG, the publisher of the Austrian daily Der Standard. Its website was being relaunched in November 2026, so I could read only the short description of its services and not its references, team or prices – check them once the new site is live.

What clients say. I found no Clutch profile and no clients named on the current site, so there are no usable reviews. The strongest signal is that it is the only agency in this list whose core business is corporate media and content rather than search or performance marketing, backed by an Austrian publishing house.

Facts: Vienna · German.

My take: my first call for an Austrian company that wants corporate content and its design from a content-first agency – ask for samples, because the site does not show any right now. Best for: Austrian companies that want corporate media – content, design and communication strategy – from a content-first agency. Not for: performance-led SEO content or paid distribution.

2. eMagnetix

Upper-Austrian performance agency with a content-marketing practice for strategy, newsletters and workshops

eMagnetix is a performance and search agency in Bad Leonfelden near Linz that says it has been active for almost 20 years, with Google Premier Partner and Microsoft Advertising Elite Partner badges on its homepage. Its content-marketing page covers content strategy, newsletter marketing, content workshops and influencer marketing, so content is planned with its search and paid campaigns. The shareholders are two holding companies, flyhigh GmbH and Hinterkörner Beteiligungs GmbH.

What clients say. I found no Clutch profile, so there are no usable reviews. Clients such as voestalpine, Rosenbauer, Hypo Oberösterreich, KEBA and Lisec are the signal, though none is named as a content client.

Facts: Bad Leonfelden (Upper Austria) · German, English.

My take: the agency I would hire for an Austrian company that wants content strategy and newsletters planned together with search and paid campaigns. Best for: Austrian companies that want content planned together with search and paid campaigns. Not for: buyers who want a pure editorial or corporate-publishing house.

3. LIMESODA

Founder-owned Vienna SEO and web agency with a content-marketing service

LIMESODA grew out of a new-media partnership founded in 2002 and has operated as a GmbH since 2006, with offices in Vienna, Linz and St. Pölten. It combines SEO and online marketing – including a content-marketing service and support for organic LinkedIn and social selling – with WordPress and web development. According to its Impressum and the Firmenbuch, the three founders – Philipp Pfaller, Bernd Pfeiffer and Klaus Feiler – still own a third each.

What clients say. Its Clutch profile has no reviews yet, so there are no usable reviews. More than 20 years on the market and B2B content examples such as its work for Sonepar, shown on its LinkedIn page, are the signals.

Facts: founded 2002 · Vienna · 10–49 people · $100–149/h · minimum project $10,000 · German, English.

My take: a strong choice for an Austrian SME that wants SEO content and website work from one founder-owned team. Best for: Austrian SMEs that want SEO content and website work from one team. Not for: large editorial or video production.

4. seoCon

Founder-run Linz and Vienna consultancy for SEO-driven content marketing

seoCon is the brand of teamCon GmbH, a Linz and Vienna consultancy registered in 2014 whose content-marketing service sits next to SEO, search ads, analytics and LinkedIn advertising. Content strategy here starts from search data. Its two founders own the company and do the consulting themselves.

What clients say. I found no Clutch profile, so there are no usable reviews. Clients such as voestalpine Stahl, the University of Vienna, Wintersteiger, the Chamber of Labour and Jobiqo are the signal.

Facts: founded 2014 · Linz · German, English.

My take: a good fit for a B2B firm or institution that wants content strategy tied to search data from senior consultants. Best for: B2B firms and institutions that want content strategy tied to search data. Not for: creative video or magazine work.

5. .kloos

Small bilingual Vienna agency for SEO- and GEO-led B2B content

.kloos is a small Vienna agency, a GmbH since 2022, that works in German and English. Its content-marketing page presents it as a content marketing agency, and the content it describes is written to rank in search and in AI answers (GEO) for international B2B clients, alongside its Google Ads work. Testimonials on its site come from NAGRA Kudelski and Sixsentix. The shareholders are managing director Daniel Marx and Lakshmi Holding GmbH.

What clients say. Its Clutch profile has no reviews yet, so there are no usable reviews. The named testimonials from NAGRA Kudelski and Sixsentix are the strongest signal.

Facts: Vienna · 2–9 people · $100–149/h · minimum project $1,000 · German, English.

My take: my pick for an international B2B firm that needs German and English content built for search and AI answers from a small team. Best for: international B2B firms that need German and English content that ranks in search and AI answers. Not for: magazines, video or large editorial programmes.

6. LeadEngine

Linz-area B2B lead-generation agency that creates content for HubSpot-based funnels

LeadEngine, based in Leonding near Linz, creates content as one part of B2B lead-generation programmes that combine SEO, LinkedIn and Google ads, HubSpot automation and telemarketing. Its content-creation page and its listing in Clutch’s Austrian content-marketing category show the service, but content serves the funnel here rather than standing alone, which is why it sits last. By its own account it has more than 30 experts and more than 250 clients.

What clients say. Its Clutch profile has no reviews yet, so there are no usable reviews. Client logos on its homepage – KUKA, Miba and Engel – are the signal, though none is named as a content client.

Facts: founded 2017 · Leonding (Linz) · 30+ people · German, English.

My take: the right call for an industrial B2B firm that wants content built for lead generation and sales follow-up. Best for: industrial B2B firms that want content built for lead generation and sales follow-up. Not for: brand storytelling or editorial publishing.

Quality, specialisation and what content marketing agencies in Austria charge

Content marketing agencies in Austria rarely publish prices. Clutch lists $100–149 an hour for LIMESODA and .kloos, with minimum projects of $10,000 and $1,000; Egger & Lerch, eMagnetix, seoCon and LeadEngine quote after a briefing. Austrian agencies usually price content as a monthly retainer for a set number of pieces, as project fees for campaigns or publications, or by the day for strategy work and workshops. Influencer fees and paid distribution come on top, and fees are quoted in euros.

On specialisation: Egger & Lerch does corporate media with design, eMagnetix plans content and newsletters with paid campaigns, LIMESODA and seoCon write SEO-led content, .kloos targets search and AI answers in two languages, and LeadEngine builds content into HubSpot lead funnels.

How to choose a content marketing agency in Austria

Choosing a content marketing agency in Austria starts with what the content has to do – rank, build a brand, inform customers and staff, or feed your sales team:

  • Search, brand or leads – pick a search-led agency if organic traffic is the goal, a corporate-media agency for publications and stakeholder content, and a lead-generation agency if the content must produce sales conversations.
  • Austrian German or German for Germany – vocabulary differs in places (“Jänner” for January, many food and everyday terms), and Austrian readers notice. If you also target Germany, ask whether the agency adapts texts for each market.
  • Usage rights – under Austrian copyright law the author keeps the copyright and grants usage rights. Make sure the contract gives your company comprehensive, exclusive rights to texts, photos and videos, including for later changes and other markets.
  • Labelling paid content – paid articles and influencer posts usually have to be labelled as advertising in Austria (for example “Anzeige” or “entgeltliche Einschaltung”). Ask how the agency handles labelling. This is not legal advice.
  • Language – five of the six list English as a working language; Egger & Lerch presents itself in German only. Agree the language of briefings and reports before you sign.

Also check the paperwork when you hire a content marketing agency in Austria. Look up the FN number in the Firmenbuch (or on evi.gv.at), which also shows the shareholders, and check the UID number, which starts with ATU, in the EU’s VIES database. If your business is in another EU country and gives its own VAT number, the reverse charge usually applies and the invoice carries no Austrian VAT; for a business outside the EU, Austrian VAT is in most cases not charged on these services. Confirm with your adviser – this is not legal or tax advice. Austria is on Central European Time (CET).
