Best PR Agencies in Sweden (2026): 6 Agencies Reviewed

Sweden has a mature PR market with a strong tradition of financial communications, public affairs and open debate. This ranking is written for a company from the US, the UK, another EU country or elsewhere in the Nordics that wants to hire PR agencies in Sweden – to launch in Sweden, to handle investor relations for a Stockholm listing or to work with Swedish politicians and authorities. I kept 6 agencies, all registered with Bolagsverket, the Swedish Companies Registration Office, and read each one’s registry data and filed accounts.

PR agencies in Sweden at a glance

  2. Westander – Independent Stockholm PR and public-affairs agency that publishes its lobbying clients.
  3. Narva – Stockholm strategic-communications agency with earned media at its core.
  4. Hallvarsson & Halvarsson – Stockholm consultancy for corporate and financial communications and annual and sustainability reporting.

How I ranked the PR agencies in Sweden

I ranked the PR agencies in Sweden by quality first, fit for a foreign client second and price third:

  • Track record – years on the market, named clients and case studies, such as Narva’s work for AP3 and Sida and Westander’s published client list.
  • Specialisation – financial communications, public affairs, crisis, reporting or media relations. These are different skills, and I say which one each agency is strongest in.
  • Fit for a foreign buyer – work in English and reach outside Sweden, as with Kreab’s international network.
  • Reviews – only LenNox has a usable number of Clutch reviews (8). Where there are no usable reviews I say so and name the strongest other signal.
  • Accounts and registration – Swedish limited companies (aktiebolag) file their annual reports with Bolagsverket, and these are public, so I could read each agency’s turnover, result and headcount via allabolag.se, which republishes Bolagsverket data. The net result of a Swedish AB is often reduced by group contributions or appropriations, so I also mention the result after financial items where it differs a lot.

The list includes only firms registered and headquartered in Sweden. I left out the Swedish offices of international PR networks and agencies that belong to foreign groups, and one agency whose services I could not read from its own website or another source was left out as well.

The 6 best PR agencies in Sweden, reviewed

Every PR agency in Sweden below gets the same treatment: who they are, what clients say, the facts that matter when you hire, and my opinion on who should – and should not – work with them.

1. Kreab

Stockholm-founded global consultancy for financial communications, public affairs and litigation communications

Kreab was founded in Stockholm in 1970 and advises companies, governments and organisations on corporate and financial communications, public affairs, communication in litigation, and sustainability and reputation. Its locations page lists 44 cities, among them London, Tokyo, São Paulo and Washington DC, and it speaks of around 400 consultants worldwide; the Swedish operating company Kreab AB has 72 employees. I did not check whether every network office is owned by Kreab or run by partners. Ownership: the parent is Kreab Worldwide AB in Stockholm, and the website names founder Peje Emilsson as owner of Kreab Worldwide.

What clients say. I found no Clutch profile, so there are no usable reviews, and its homepage names no clients. Its long track record and international network are the strongest signal, together with its accounts: Kreab AB reported turnover of SEK 219m and a net profit of SEK 16.2m for 2025.

Facts: founded 1970 · Stockholm · 72 people · Swedish, English and the languages of its network offices.

My take: the consultancy I would call first for financial communications, public affairs or a litigation mandate that reaches beyond Sweden. Best for: listed companies and organisations that need financial communications, public affairs or crisis and litigation support in Sweden and abroad. Not for: consumer-product PR or influencer campaigns on small budgets.

2. Westander

Independent Stockholm PR and public-affairs agency that publishes its lobbying clients

Westander is a Stockholm PR agency that helps companies and organisations with brand building, opinion building, public affairs and crisis communication, plus media training and work at Almedalen, the annual political week on Gotland. It publishes all its ongoing lobbying assignments on its website. It was named to the Årets Byrå Hall of Fame in 2025. The company has no parent and is led by its founder, Patrik Westander; it says it has been in business for more than 25 years, and the company was registered in 2000.

What clients say. I found no Clutch profile, so there are no usable reviews. Its transparency on lobbying, its Hall of Fame listing and its current clients are the strongest signal: Apotek Hjärtat, Bankomat, Collectum and Cramo. Turnover was SEK 46.3m in 2025, with a loss of SEK 3.4m.

Facts: founded 2000 · Stockholm · 28 people · Swedish, English.

My take: my pick for Swedish public affairs and opinion building when transparency about lobbying matters. Best for: organisations that need Swedish public affairs, opinion building or crisis communications with transparent lobbying. Not for: international multi-country PR roll-outs.

3. Narva

Stockholm strategic-communications agency with earned media at its core

Narva Communications is a Stockholm strategic-communications agency with an office in Gothenburg. It works on earned media, brand identity, annual reviews, communication for digitalisation programmes and campaigns, and offers crisis management. The company was registered in 2000. Ownership: it is part of the Swedish Ahead Group (its parent is Ahead Group Sweden AB); I did not check who ultimately owns Ahead Group.

What clients say. I found no Clutch profile, so there are no usable reviews. Its case studies are the strongest signal – AP3, Axel Johnson, Sida, Elgiganten, Novartis Sverige and Atrium Ljungberg – and its client logos include ASSA ABLOY, Boliden, SAS, SEB, SSAB and Unilever. Turnover was SEK 82.4m for the financial year ending September 2025.

Facts: Stockholm · 38 people · Swedish, English.

My take: a strong choice for a large company that wants corporate PR and earned-media campaigns in Sweden. Best for: large Swedish companies and institutions that want corporate PR, crisis support and earned-media campaigns. Not for: very small budgets.

4. Hallvarsson & Halvarsson

Stockholm consultancy for corporate and financial communications and annual and sustainability reporting

Hallvarsson & Halvarsson is a Stockholm communications consultancy for corporate and financial communications, annual and sustainability reporting, political communication and content. Its published work covers sustainability reporting, tax transparency, human-rights reporting and annual reports; its homepage itself says little, so I describe its services from those articles. The brand is much older than the current company, which was registered in 2016. Ownership: its parent is the Swedish AuraGroup AB; I did not check AuraGroup’s owners.

What clients say. I found no Clutch profile, so there are no usable reviews, and I could not read a client list. Its size is the strongest signal: turnover of SEK 186m in 2025 and a result after financial items of SEK 14.0m, with 88 employees.

Facts: Stockholm · 88 people · Swedish, English.

My take: the firm I would brief for annual reports, sustainability reporting and investor communications. Best for: listed and large companies that need annual reports, sustainability and ESG reporting and investor communications. Not for: start-ups looking for media-relations-only PR.

5. Gullers Grupp

Large Swedish communications agency for public authorities, regions and organisations

Gullers Grupp is a Stockholm communications agency that calls itself the agency for leading societal actors: it works with public authorities, regions, trade unions and organisations on public and societal communication. It has offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, Sundsvall and Piteå and runs the Årets Samhällsaktör award. The company was registered in 1989. Its parent is the Swedish Gullers Grupp Partners AB; I did not check who holds the shares.

What clients say. I found no Clutch profile, so there are no usable reviews. Its size and public-sector work are the strongest signal – case work includes Region Västerbotten and Officersförbundet – with turnover of SEK 317m and 155 employees in 2025, though the result after financial items was a loss of SEK 8.4m.

Facts: Stockholm · 155 people · Swedish, English.

My take: the agency I would call for public-sector or policy-driven communication in Sweden. Best for: public bodies, NGOs and companies with societal or policy-driven communication needs in Sweden. Not for: foreign tech start-ups that need international tech-media PR.

6. LenNox Public Relations

Small Stockholm PR, public-affairs and corporate-communications agency with strong Clutch reviews

LenNox Public Relations is a Stockholm agency founded in 2015 for PR, public affairs and corporate communications, including crisis plans, media training and optimisation for AI search. It quotes an hourly rate of SEK 2,300, or SEK 2,000 on larger projects. I did not read its website; the services come from its Clutch listing. It says it was named agency of the year in 2022 and 2024, but I did not check who gave the award.

What clients say. Clutch: 5.0/5 from 8 reviews, the only usable review base in this list. Reviewers include Omegapoint, RFSU, Friskis&Svettis, Autism Sverige and Journalisten; they cite media results – Omegapoint reports a 640% rise in media reach – and good media training. It is small, with turnover of SEK 10.0m in 2025.

Facts: founded 2015 · Stockholm · 7 people · $200–300/h · minimum project $5,000 · Swedish, English.

My take: a good fit for an SME or NGO that wants senior PR help in Sweden at a transparent hourly rate. Best for: SMEs and NGOs that want senior PR and public-affairs help in Sweden at transparent hourly rates. Not for: large international campaigns.

Quality, specialisation and what PR agencies in Sweden charge

Only one of the PR agencies in Sweden in this ranking states a price: LenNox quotes SEK 2,300 an hour, or SEK 2,000 on larger projects, and Clutch shows a band of $200–300 an hour with a minimum project of $5,000. The others quote per mandate or on a retainer after a briefing. Invoices are usually in Swedish kronor (SEK), which floats against the euro, so agree the currency in the contract. As a general observation, senior communications advice in Sweden is priced among the highest in Europe, similar to Denmark.

The main choice is between an international strategic-communications consultancy (Kreab), public-affairs agencies (Westander, and LenNox for smaller budgets), corporate and earned-media PR (Narva), financial and sustainability reporting (Hallvarsson & Halvarsson) and public-sector communication (Gullers Grupp).

How to choose a PR agency in Sweden

Choosing a PR agency in Sweden starts with the audience you need to reach:

  • Media, investors or politicians – media relations, investor communications and public affairs are different jobs. Kreab and Hallvarsson & Halvarsson are strongest with investors and reporting; Westander and LenNox with politicians and opinion.
  • Public affairs in Sweden – Swedish public debate places a high value on openness. Westander publishes its lobbying clients; ask any agency how it handles transparency, and whether it works at Almedalen.
  • Language – English is spoken at a very high level in Sweden, and every agency here works in English, but press releases and op-eds for Swedish media should be written in Swedish by native speakers.
  • Reach outside Sweden – only Kreab has an international network in this list; the others work mainly in Sweden.
  • Ownership – Narva belongs to the Ahead Group, Hallvarsson & Halvarsson to AuraGroup, and Gullers Grupp is held through a partner company. Ask about possible conflicts with other clients in the group.

Also check the paperwork when you hire a PR agency in Sweden. Every company has a ten-digit organisation number (org.nr); you can look it up at Bolagsverket, which also sells copies of the filed annual reports, while free sites such as allabolag.se show turnover, result and board members. Check the VAT number – in most cases SE followed by the ten digits of the org.nr and 01 – in the EU’s VIES database. If your business is in another EU country and gives its own VAT number, the reverse charge usually applies and the invoice carries no Swedish VAT (moms); for a business outside the EU, Swedish VAT is in most cases not charged on these services. Confirm with your adviser – this is not legal or tax advice. Sweden is on Central European Time (CET), the same as Germany and Denmark. For a Nordic comparison, see the same list for Denmark, and if your budget is tighter, here is the same list for Poland, where rates are usually lower.
