Google in the US is one of the most competitive search markets in the world, and many foreign companies hire a local team for it when they enter the country. This ranking is written for a company from the EU, the UK, the Nordics or Asia that wants to hire one of the SEO agencies in the US – for content-led SEO, technical SEO, digital PR and link earning, or visibility in AI answers. I am Adrian, an SEO consultant in Wrocław, and I research and write every ranking on this site myself. I kept 9 agencies, all incorporated and headquartered in the US.
SEO agencies in the US at a glance
If you only have a minute, these are the SEO agencies in the US I would shortlist as a foreign company, in the order I would contact them. Each is reviewed below, with its legal entity data on its company profile.
- Siege Media – Content-led SEO and digital PR agency for consumer and SaaS brands.
- Victorious – SEO-only agency with published monthly packages and an enterprise and SaaS client list.
- Searchbloom – SEO-first Utah agency with paid search and one of the deepest review records in the category.
- Go Fish Digital – Technical and enterprise SEO agency that also works on AI-search visibility.
- Fractl – Data-driven content and digital PR agency for high-authority links.
- Ignite Visibility – Large full-service digital agency with SEO at its core.
- Omniscient Digital – Boutique content-SEO and AI-search agency for B2B SaaS.
- NP Digital – Neil Patel’s SEO and performance agency with offices outside the US.
- Page One Power – Link-building specialist, including white-label work for other agencies.
How I ranked the SEO agencies in the US
I ranked the SEO agencies in the US by quality first, fit for a foreign client second and price third:
- Specialisation – what each agency actually does best: content-led SEO, technical SEO, digital PR and link earning, or AI and GEO visibility.
- Reviews – every agency here has a Clutch profile with reviews. I quote the rating and the number of reviews, and I say where the sample is small.
- Track record – named clients and years on the market. Client lists the agencies publish themselves are noted as such.
- Fit for foreign clients – experience with companies entering the US, international work and the minimum budget.
- Registration – every agency is incorporated in a US state and headquartered in the US. The entity data on each profile comes from the business-entity record on the agency’s Clutch profile, which cites the state register, or from the agency’s own privacy policy; I did not check the state registers myself, so confirm the entity before you sign.
I left out US offices of foreign agencies and offshore SEO shops with a US address but their real headquarters and delivery team abroad – a common model in this industry. I also left out Seer Interactive, a well-known Philadelphia agency, because its Clutch record is thin and mixed and I could not confirm its legal entity. If your budget is tighter, see the same list for Poland, where rates are lower.
The 9 best SEO agencies in the US, reviewed
Every SEO agency in the US below gets the same treatment: who they are, what clients say, the facts that matter when you hire, and my opinion on who should – and should not – work with them.
1. Siege Media
Content-led SEO and digital PR agency for consumer and SaaS brands
Siege Media is an Austin agency that combines SEO with content marketing, interactive content and digital PR to earn links and rankings. Clutch splits its work 30% content, 30% SEO and 20% affiliate marketing, with generative engine optimisation (GEO) now the largest part of its SEO work. Besides Austin it lists San Diego, New York, Chicago and San Francisco. Clients named on Clutch include Intuit, Asana, Zendesk, Quicken Loans and Chime. The company was formed in California and now has its headquarters in Texas.
What clients say. Clutch: 4.9/5 from 48 reviews. Reviewers consistently praise the quality of the content, organised project management and how well the team takes feedback. Most call the pricing fair for the results, though larger engagements reach six figures.
Facts: founded 2012 · Austin · 50–249 people · $100–149/h · minimum project $5,000 · English.
My take: my first call for a foreign brand that wants to build US organic visibility through content people actually link to, rather than through technical fixes alone. Best for: consumer and SaaS brands that want to build US organic visibility with high-quality content and link-earning assets. Not for: local or small-business SEO, and buyers who want paid media from the same agency.

2. Victorious
SEO-only agency with published monthly packages and an enterprise and SaaS client list
Victorious is a San Francisco agency that does almost nothing but SEO – Clutch lists 75% SEO, 20% content and 5% web development. Its work is split into on-site optimisation, link earning and content, and it publishes package pricing on Clutch starting at $5,999 a month. Clients named on Clutch include Salesforce, SoFi and GE Digital. Clutch’s business-entity record names the legal entity as Transon Media LLC, but the state and entity number in that record are ambiguous, so the entity details need confirming before you sign.
What clients say. Clutch: 4.8/5 from 119 reviews. Most reviewers praise timely delivery, communication and SEO know-how, and report large keyword and traffic gains – one went from 200 to 2,400 ranking keywords. Several individual reviews mention missed or last-minute deadlines, uneven communication and recommendations that felt generic.
Facts: founded 2013 · San Francisco · 50–249 people · $300+/h · minimum project $50,000 · English.
My take: the pick for a well-funded company that wants a pure SEO programme with a clearly priced monthly scope – if the budget fits. Best for: well-funded SaaS, fintech and e-commerce companies entering the US that want a dedicated, process-driven SEO programme. Not for: small budgets – Clutch lists a $50,000 minimum and $300+ an hour – and buyers who want paid media from the same agency.

3. Searchbloom
SEO-first Utah agency with paid search and one of the deepest review records in the category
Searchbloom is an SEO-first agency in South Jordan, Utah – about 65% SEO, 25% PPC and 10% CRO, according to Clutch. It offers technical, e-commerce, local and multi-location SEO and GEO/AEO alongside Google, Microsoft and YouTube ads. It was founded in 2014 by its CEO, Cody C. Jensen, and its own site lists no offshore offices. Clients named on Clutch and on its own site include Splunk, RXBAR, US Bank, Nordstrom and The Whiskey Exchange. The leadership names on its profile come from the company’s own “AI information” page.
What clients say. Clutch: 4.9/5 from 102 reviews (96 of them verified). Reviewers praise communication, responsiveness and project management, and report measurable gains in organic traffic, leads and revenue. A few mention development timelines slipping, often because of project complexity or delays on the client’s side.
Facts: founded 2014 · South Jordan, Utah · 10–49 people · $100–149/h · minimum project $1,000 · English.
My take: the best value in this ranking: a compact, senior team for SEO and paid search, with a low entry point and a long review record. Best for: mid-market companies that want SEO and paid search from one compact, senior team at moderate rates. Not for: global enterprises that need large multi-office teams, or brand and creative work.

4. Go Fish Digital
Technical and enterprise SEO agency that also works on AI-search visibility
Go Fish Digital is a search agency headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina, that also lists Burlington (Massachusetts), Phoenix and San Diego. Clutch splits its work across SEO (30%), AI consulting (25%), PPC and performance marketing, and lists GEO and Shopify marketing among its services. Project sizes reported on Clutch run from $30,000 to $200,000. Its privacy policy names Go Fish Digital, LLC, but its contact section names Go Fish Digital Holdings, LLC in St. Louis, Missouri – which suggests a holding structure I could not verify, and I could not confirm the state of incorporation.
What clients say. Clutch: 5.0/5 from 13 reviews. All 13 reviews are 5.0: clients praise communication, project management and SEO results, and give it 4.9 for cost.
Facts: founded 2005 · Raleigh · minimum project $5,000 · English.
My take: the one I would brief for a large site where the ranking problems are technical – and for an early start on visibility in AI answers. Best for: mid-size and enterprise sites with complex technical SEO, and companies that want early help with AI-search visibility. Not for: very small local businesses.

5. Fractl
Data-driven content and digital PR agency for high-authority links
Fractl is a content marketing and digital PR agency in Delray Beach, Florida. It builds data studies and campaigns that earn media coverage and high-authority backlinks – Clutch lists 70% content and 10% each for strategy, PR and SEO. Its clients are 60% mid-market and 30% enterprise. The legal entity behind it is Brightfractal, Inc., which is named in its privacy policy.
What clients say. Clutch: 4.8/5 from 37 reviews. Reviewers praise timeliness, communication and content quality, and several say the links and media placements beat their expectations. Some suggest stronger first-round campaign proposals to cut down on revisions.
Facts: founded 2012 · Delray Beach, Florida · 50–249 people · $100–149/h · minimum project $5,000 · English.
My take: the fastest way I know to fix the most common problem of a new market entrant: a domain that nobody in the US links to yet. Best for: brands entering the US that need American media coverage and authority links to build domain strength quickly. Not for: technical SEO, local SEO or full-service SEO management.

6. Ignite Visibility
Large full-service digital agency with SEO at its core
Ignite Visibility is a San Diego agency that lists SEO as 30% of its work, alongside paid media, email, social, web design and development. Clutch also lists Irvine, and its own profile text mentions New York and Orlando. Its strongest industries are automotive, education, franchises, home services, insurance and medical.
What clients say. Clutch: 4.8/5 from 175 reviews, the most reviews in this ranking. Most reviewers praise communication, timeliness and measurable gains in leads and ROAS. A few negative reviews cite missed deadlines, poor communication and concerns that work was outsourced – worth asking who actually does the work on your account.
Facts: founded 2013 · San Diego · 250–999 people · $100–149/h · minimum project $1,000 · English.
My take: the agency to hire if you want SEO bundled with paid media and email from one large US team. Best for: companies that want SEO bundled with paid media and email from one large US agency. Not for: buyers who want a small, senior-only SEO specialist.

7. Omniscient Digital
Boutique content-SEO and AI-search agency for B2B SaaS
Omniscient Digital is a small Austin agency that focuses on SEO-driven content strategy for B2B software companies – Clutch lists 50% SEO, 25% content, 15% strategy and 10% CRO. It also works on answer-engine optimisation (AEO). Its Clutch description names SAP, Adobe, TikTok, Asana, Loom and Jasper as clients; that list is the company’s own. The legal name, Omniscient Digital LLC, comes from its privacy policy, and I could not confirm the state.
What clients say. Clutch: 4.8/5 from 6 reviews. Reviewers praise timely delivery, proactive communication and measurable SEO and AEO gains; a few say content turnaround could be faster and prices run high. Six reviews is a small sample.
Facts: founded 2019 · Austin · 10–49 people · $100–149/h · minimum project $5,000 · English.
My take: the senior boutique I would pick for a B2B SaaS company that needs product-led content built for US buyers. Best for: B2B SaaS companies entering the US that need a senior content-SEO strategy built around product-led content. Not for: e-commerce, local SEO and link building at scale.

8. NP Digital
Neil Patel’s SEO and performance agency with offices outside the US
NP Digital is the agency co-founded by Neil Patel, headquartered in Las Vegas, with Clutch also listing offices in Egham (UK) and Toronto. Clutch splits its work across media planning and buying (35%), SEO (30%), content (15%), CRO and email. It is a US-headquartered agency with foreign offices, which makes it one of the few US SEO agencies set up for multi-market programmes. Its privacy policy names Neil Patel Digital, LLC; I could not confirm the state of incorporation.
What clients say. Clutch: 4.6/5 from 20 reviews. Reviewers praise on-time delivery, communication and gains in traffic and leads. Some smaller clients find the price high, and one found the work templated with modest results.
Facts: founded 2017 · Las Vegas · $100–149/h · minimum project $1,000 · English.
My take: worth a call if you want US and international SEO and paid media coordinated by one agency. Best for: companies that want US and international SEO and paid media coordinated by one agency. Not for: buyers who want a boutique, senior-only team.

9. Page One Power
Link-building specialist, including white-label work for other agencies
Page One Power is a Boise-based specialist in custom link building and content – Clutch lists 50% SEO and 50% content, with link earning the largest part of its SEO work. It also offers technical SEO audits and white-label link building for other agencies. Clients named on Clutch include Intuit QuickBooks, Healthline, Hyatt, Bostitch and Mr. Rooter. Its privacy policy names only “Page One Power”, so I could not confirm the legal entity.
What clients say. Clutch: 4.7/5 from 17 reviews. Reviewers call it good value and praise communication, transparency and the quality of the links; one suggested integrating guest posts better with existing content.
Facts: founded 2010 · Boise, Idaho · 50–249 people · minimum project $1,000 · English.
My take: the specialist to add when your strategy and content are in place but you need clean, manual US link acquisition. Best for: companies and agencies that already have an SEO strategy and content but need clean, manual US link acquisition. Not for: buyers looking for a full-service SEO or marketing partner.

Quality, specialisation and what SEO agencies in the US charge
SEO agencies in the US are expensive by European standards. On Clutch, most agencies in this ranking list $100–149 an hour – Siege Media, Searchbloom, Fractl, Ignite Visibility, Omniscient Digital and NP Digital – while Victorious lists $300+ an hour with a $50,000 minimum and publishes packages from $5,999 a month. Minimum projects run from $1,000 (Searchbloom, Ignite Visibility, NP Digital, Page One Power) to $5,000 (Siege Media, Go Fish Digital, Fractl, Omniscient Digital). Most US SEO work is sold as a monthly retainer, so the real cost is the retainer multiplied by the six to twelve months it takes to see results.
Quality matters more than the hourly rate. The main split is between content-led agencies such as Siege Media and Omniscient Digital, SEO-only programmes such as Victorious, technical specialists such as Go Fish Digital, link and digital PR specialists such as Fractl and Page One Power, and full-service agencies with SEO at the core such as Searchbloom, Ignite Visibility and NP Digital. A foreign brand entering the US usually needs authority first – American sites linking to it – which is why I rank the content and digital PR specialists high.
How to choose an SEO agency in the US
Choosing an SEO agency in the US from abroad comes down to a few practical checks:
- Match the specialism to the problem – a new US domain without links needs content and digital PR; a large site with crawling or indexing problems needs a technical team; a SaaS product needs content written for US buyers.
- Check the company in the state register – every US state has a free Secretary of State business search. Look up the legal name, confirm that the entity is active and note the state of formation and the registered agent. Many agencies trade under a different name: Fractl, for example, is Brightfractal, Inc. Private US companies publish no accounts, so references from clients matter more than in Europe; only public companies file financial statements, on SEC EDGAR.
- No VAT, invoices in USD – the US has no VAT, and state sales tax rarely applies to B2B services sold to a company abroad. Expect invoices in US dollars and plan for the exchange-rate risk on a long retainer.
- Contract law – US agency contracts are governed by the law of a US state, often New York, Delaware or the agency’s home state, such as California or Texas. Read the termination and notice clauses before you sign.
- Time zones – US agencies work between Eastern (ET) and Pacific time (PT). From Central Europe, an East Coast agency overlaps your afternoon by two to three hours; a West Coast agency such as Victorious or Ignite Visibility starts work when your day ends, so plan for late calls.
Also ask who will actually work on your account, whether any of the work is outsourced, and how results are reported each month.
SEO agencies in the US: FAQ
The questions foreign companies ask most before hiring SEO agencies in the US.
Do SEO agencies in the US charge VAT to foreign clients?
No, SEO agencies in the US do not charge VAT, because the US has no VAT system, and state sales tax rarely applies to B2B services sold to a company abroad. Your invoice will normally be in US dollars, and an EU business may still need to account for VAT at home under the reverse charge.
Can SEO agencies in the US work with companies from Europe?
Yes, SEO agencies in the US work with European companies. NP Digital has offices in the UK and Canada, and East Coast agencies give you the most overlap with the European working day.
Which SEO agency in the US is best for a company entering the US market?
The best SEO agency in the US for a company entering the US market is, in my opinion, Siege Media, because a new entrant usually needs content and links that build authority. Fractl is the alternative if you mainly need US media coverage and authority links.
How do I check an SEO agency in the US before signing?
To check an SEO agency in the US before signing, find its legal name in the contract or privacy policy and look it up in the Secretary of State business search of the state where it was formed. Confirm that it is active, then ask for references from clients in your industry, because private US companies publish no accounts.
My verdict: which SEO agency in the US to hire
The right SEO agency in the US depends on your problem. For content-led SEO that earns links, hire Siege Media. For a pure SEO programme with a clear monthly scope and a large budget, hire Victorious. For SEO and paid search at moderate rates, hire Searchbloom. For technical SEO on a large site, hire Go Fish Digital. For links and US media coverage, hire Fractl. For B2B SaaS content, hire Omniscient Digital.
Whichever SEO agency in the US you choose, confirm its legal entity in the state register and agree the currency, the governing law and the notice period before the retainer starts.
