Belgium has a mature web market split along language lines: Dutch-speaking agencies in Flanders, French-speaking ones in Wallonia, a bilingual capital in Brussels and a small German-speaking community in the east. This ranking is written for a company from the US, the UK, another EU country or the Nordics that wants to hire web development companies in Belgium, whether for a Belgian site in two languages or for a platform used across Europe. I kept 8 companies, all headquartered in Belgium. The official KBO public search could not be read automatically (it shows a CAPTCHA), so I took enterprise numbers from NorthData, companyweb.be or the company’s own website footer.
Web development companies in Belgium at a glance
If you only have a minute, these are the web development companies in Belgium I would shortlist as a foreign company, in the order I would contact them. Each is reviewed below, with its registry data on its company profile.
- Dropsolid – Ghent Drupal specialist building open, multilingual digital platforms for large organisations.
- Little Miss Robot – Ghent digital product agency that researches, designs and builds websites, portals and apps.
- Wieni – Content-led web studio for media, healthcare and e-commerce, part of the Belgian Craftzing Group.
- Studio Hyperdrive – Design and development studio for custom web apps, interactive experiences and data products.
- Globule Bleu – Liège creative digital agency since 2001 – strategy, UX/UI and custom WordPress, Drupal and PHP.
- ProduWeb – Liège web agency – websites, Magento and WordPress e-commerce, ERP, CRM and PIM links.
- EPIC Agency – Liège digital agency for branding, websites and digital storytelling.
- Brainlane – Limburg agency for websites, e-commerce and custom web software tied to ERP and CRM.
How I ranked the web development companies in Belgium
I ranked the web development companies in Belgium by quality first, fit for a foreign client second and price third:
- Track record – years on the market, named clients and projects, such as Dropsolid’s platforms for EPSO and Jan De Nul and Studio Hyperdrive’s work for VDAB.
- Technical depth – the platforms each company builds on (Drupal, headless CMSs, Magento, WordPress) and how well it integrates with ERP and CRM systems.
- Language and fit – which of Belgium’s languages the team works in and whether it handles English-speaking clients.
- Reviews – none of these companies has client reviews on Clutch, so I say clearly that there are no usable reviews and name the strongest other signal.
- Registration and accounts – Belgian companies file annual accounts with the National Bank of Belgium (NBB), and these are public. Where companyweb.be showed turnover from those filings – Little Miss Robot (€3.2 million in 2025) and Globule Bleu (€1.95 million) – I added it to the company profile. Smaller companies often file abbreviated accounts that show only gross margin, as EPIC Agency does.
The list includes only firms registered and headquartered in Belgium. I left out local offices of foreign networks and agencies that now belong to a foreign group – for example Emakina and The Reference, both owned by EPAM. I also dropped one agency whose website does not make clear where its head office is.
The 8 best web development companies in Belgium, reviewed
Every web development company in Belgium below gets the same treatment: who they are, what clients say, the facts that matter when you hire, and my opinion on who should – and should not – work with them.
1. Dropsolid
Ghent Drupal specialist building open, multilingual digital platforms for large organisations
Dropsolid is a digital agency headquartered in Ghent, with offices in Hasselt and Edegem, that specialises in Drupal and open, composable digital experience platforms. It covers platform strategy, experience design, SEO and data, Drupal development with AI, marketing automation and managed services. It says it is a Drupal Diamond Partner and ISO 27001 certified, and Sortlist lists more than 70 experts. Its website does not say who owns the company, and I did not check that.
What clients say. I found no Clutch profile, so there are no usable reviews. The clients it names are the signal: Jan De Nul, the EU recruitment office EPSO, Soudal, GIMV, Acerta, the Antwerp University Hospital (UZA), Lannoo and Boerenbond.
Facts: Ghent · more than 70 people · Dutch, English.
My take: my first call for an enterprise, public body or EU institution that needs a multilingual Drupal platform and someone to run it for years. Best for: enterprises, public bodies and EU institutions that want a multilingual Drupal platform with managed services. Not for: small brochure sites or Shopify-only stores.

2. Little Miss Robot
Ghent digital product agency that researches, designs and builds websites, portals and apps
Little Miss Robot is a Ghent digital product agency, delivering since 2009, with an office in Antwerp and 32 team members. It covers research and analysis, concept and design, prototyping and web and mobile development through to launch. It is part of the Leap Forward Group, together with Knight Moves, Once, Anvil and Fluo; I did not check who owns that group. Its NV was registered in January 2010, and its accounts filed with the National Bank show turnover of €3.2 million in 2025 with about 25 full-time staff.
What clients say. I found no Clutch profile, so there are no usable reviews. The clients it names – SD Worx, Belfius, Aquafin, Acerta, Unilin Panels and Knack – and three years of profitable filed accounts are the signal.
Facts: founded 2009 · Ghent · 32 people · Dutch, English.
My take: the agency I would pick for a UX-led website or customer portal designed and built by one small senior team. Best for: organisations that want a UX-led website or customer portal from one senior team. Not for: cheap template sites or large e-commerce replatforming.

3. Wieni
Content-led web studio for media, healthcare and e-commerce, part of the Belgian Craftzing Group
Wieni builds digital platforms, content design and personalised web experiences on Next.js, DatoCMS, Shopware and Webflow, and says it is a DatoCMS and Webflow partner and holds the Anysurfer accessibility label. It is part of Craftzing Group, an Antwerp-based digital group; its website footer names Craftzing Group NV as the company, and I did not check Craftzing’s shareholders. Projects include Play.tv, the Brussels media brand Bruzz and the patient portal of UZ Leuven.
What clients say. I found no Clutch profile, so there are no usable reviews. Its project list – Play Media, Bruzz, UZ Leuven and Floorify – is the signal.
Facts: Leuven / Antwerp / Ghent · Dutch, English.
My take: the studio I would brief for a content-heavy or accessible headless website, especially in media or healthcare. Best for: media, healthcare and content-heavy organisations that want an accessible headless website. Not for: clients who want a WordPress or low-budget template site.

4. Studio Hyperdrive
Design and development studio for custom web apps, interactive experiences and data products
Studio Hyperdrive combines designers and developers in Kontich and Ghent and builds immersive digital experiences, process platforms and data products. Its projects include the pronunciation e-learning Uitsprekend for the Flemish employment service VDAB, a 3D touch table for Phoenix Contact, a route app for Visit Bruges and a registry rebuild for EBMT. Its Kontich address is on the Cronos campus, so it appears to be part of the Cronos group, a Belgian IT group – I did not verify this.
What clients say. I found no Clutch profile, so there are no usable reviews. The clients it names – VRT, VDAB, Nike, Live Nation, Phoenix Contact, Roularta and the City of Antwerp – are the signal.
Facts: Kontich / Ghent · Dutch, English.
My take: my pick for a public body or brand that needs a custom web app or an interactive experience rather than a standard site. Best for: public bodies and brands that need custom web apps and interactive experiences. Not for: simple marketing websites on a small fixed budget.

Facts: founded 2001 · Liège · about 18 people · French.
My take: the team I would hire for a custom WordPress or Drupal site that has to talk to an ERP or CRM in Wallonia. Best for: Walloon SMEs and public or health bodies that need a custom site integrated with their ERP or CRM. Not for: English- or Dutch-language international rollouts.

Facts: founded 2003 · Liège · 36 people · French.
My take: my pick for a French-speaking company that wants its webshop and its marketing from one supplier. Best for: French-speaking companies that want a website or webshop plus marketing from one supplier. Not for: Dutch-language projects.

7. EPIC Agency
Liège digital agency for branding, websites and digital storytelling
EPIC Agency is a Liège digital agency, registered in 2009 as Epic web Agency, that combines technical, strategic and creative work across branding, websites and photography. Its website shows a B Corp badge, which I did not check in the B Lab directory, and mentions EU regional development fund (FEDER) support. It files abbreviated accounts, so turnover is not published: the 2025 accounts show a gross margin of €1.36 million – which is not the same as revenue – about 21 full-time staff and a net loss of €233,000, after a profit of €91,000 in 2024. Its ownership is not stated.
What clients say. I found no Clutch profile and no client list to cite, so there are no usable reviews. Its long presence in Liège and its filed accounts are the main signal.
Facts: founded 2009 · Liège · about 21 people · French, English.
My take: an option for a French-speaking brand or institution that wants a design-led website and branding from one Walloon team. Best for: French-speaking brands and institutions that want a design-led website plus branding. Not for: complex system integrations or Dutch-language projects.

Limburg agency for websites, e-commerce and custom web software tied to ERP and CRM
Brainlane was founded in 2002 in Hasselt and does web development, custom software, e-commerce, web design and SEO for growing SMEs, with integrations to ERP, CRM and other systems through APIs. Its projects include the news platform of TV Limburg, e-commerce for Plantyn Academy and Inmemoriam.be for Mediahuis. It works in Dutch, and NorthData lists the company as Brainlane BV.
What clients say. It has a Clutch profile but I found no reviews, so there are no usable reviews. The clients it names – TV Limburg, Plantyn, Mediahuis, Zelco Logistics and TRIXXO – are the signal.
Facts: founded 2002 · Hasselt · 10–49 people · minimum project $10,000 · Dutch.
My take: a solid choice for a Flemish SME whose website has to be tightly connected to its ERP or CRM. Best for: SMEs that need a website or platform integrated with their ERP or CRM. Not for: French-language or international multi-market rollouts.

Quality, specialisation and what web development companies in Belgium charge
Only one of the web development companies in Belgium in this ranking shows a price on Clutch: Brainlane, with a $10,000 minimum project. The others quote after a briefing, and platform projects for large organisations are usually priced as a project plus a managed-services contract. Invoices are in euros (EUR).
The main choice is between enterprise platform builders (Dropsolid on Drupal, Wieni on headless CMSs), UX-led product teams (Little Miss Robot, Studio Hyperdrive), an e-commerce builder (ProduWeb), integration-heavy SME specialists (Globule Bleu, Brainlane) and a design-led studio for branding and websites (EPIC Agency).
How to choose a web development company in Belgium
Choosing a web development company in Belgium starts with the languages your site needs and the systems it has to connect to:
- Dutch, French or both – a Belgian site usually needs Dutch and French versions, and sometimes German. The Flemish companies here (Dropsolid, Little Miss Robot, Wieni, Studio Hyperdrive, Brainlane) work in Dutch and mostly English; the Liège companies (Globule Bleu, ProduWeb, EPIC Agency) work in French. Ask who writes and checks the second language.
- Platform – Drupal for large multilingual platforms, a headless CMS for content-heavy sites, Magento or WordPress for webshops. Agree who hosts and maintains the site after launch.
- Integrations – Globule Bleu, ProduWeb and Brainlane all connect sites to ERP and CRM systems; check that they know yours.
- Delivery model – ask where your project will be built and by whom, especially if part of the work is subcontracted.
- Accessibility – EU accessibility rules increasingly apply to websites; Wieni holds the Anysurfer label.
Also check the paperwork when you hire a web development company in Belgium. Look up the ten-digit enterprise number in the KBO/BCE public search (kbopub.economie.fgov.be), check the VAT number – the same digits with the prefix BE – in the EU’s VIES database, and read the annual accounts filed with the National Bank of Belgium. If your business is in another EU country and gives its own VAT number, the reverse charge usually applies and the invoice carries no Belgian VAT; for a business outside the EU, Belgian VAT is in most cases not charged on these services. Confirm with your adviser – this is not legal or tax advice. Belgium is on Central European Time (CET). For comparison, here is the same list for Poland, where rates are lower.

Yes, most web development companies in Belgium in this ranking list English as a working language, among them Dropsolid, Little Miss Robot, Wieni, Studio Hyperdrive and EPIC Agency. Globule Bleu, ProduWeb and Brainlane present themselves only in French or Dutch, so check before you brief them in English.
Can a web development company in Belgium build a site in both Dutch and French?
Yes, a web development company in Belgium can build a site in both Dutch and French – multilingual Drupal platforms are Dropsolid’s core business. Most teams work mainly in one language, though, so agree who writes and checks the content in the other.
How much do web development companies in Belgium charge?
Web development companies in Belgium in this ranking mostly do not publish their rates; Brainlane lists a $10,000 minimum project on Clutch. Most quote per project after a briefing, in euros.
Which web development company in Belgium is best for a large multilingual platform?
The best web development company in Belgium for a large multilingual platform, in my view, is Dropsolid, a Drupal specialist that names EPSO, Jan De Nul and Soudal as clients. For a content-heavy headless site, I would also talk to Wieni.
My verdict: which web development company in Belgium to hire
Choosing among web development companies in Belgium depends on the size of the project and its language. For a large multilingual platform, hire Dropsolid. For a UX-led portal or website, hire Little Miss Robot. For a custom web app or interactive experience, hire Studio Hyperdrive. For a French-language site tied to an ERP, hire Globule Bleu.
Whichever web development company in Belgium you choose, agree the languages, the hosting and maintenance terms and who owns the code before work starts.
