Dutch IT firms run some of the most demanding systems in Europe – for banks, airlines, the Port of Rotterdam and the semiconductor industry around Eindhoven – and almost all of them work in excellent English. This ranking is written for a company from the US, the UK, another EU country or the Nordics that wants to hire one of the IT outsourcing companies in the Netherlands for custom software, cloud and data work, managed services or a dedicated team. I kept 9 companies and looked up each one’s KvK number, the Dutch Chamber of Commerce registration.
IT outsourcing companies in the Netherlands at a glance
If you only have a minute, these are the IT outsourcing companies in the Netherlands I would shortlist as a foreign company, in the order I would contact them. Each is reviewed below, with its registry data on its company profile.
- Xebia – Dutch-founded cloud, data, AI and software engineering consultancy with global delivery.
- Schuberg Philis – Mission-critical cloud, data and security outsourcing: one team plans, builds and runs.
- Info Support – Family-owned Dutch software engineering and managed-solutions firm, profitable since 1986.
- Itility – Eindhoven consulting-engineering firm for AI, software, data and IT foundations in high-tech.
- Lizard Global – Dutch-Malaysian app, web and AI development studio with fixed monthly packages.
- Sunbytes – Dutch-managed software, QA, security and dedicated teams delivered from Vietnam.
- Centric – Large Dutch IT services and software group for government, finance and retail.
- Conclusion – Dutch ecosystem of 30+ specialised IT companies, from consultancy to mission-critical cloud.
- ilionx – Dutch IT services group for cloud apps, data and AI, hyperautomation and managed services.
How I ranked the IT outsourcing companies in the Netherlands
I ranked the IT outsourcing companies in the Netherlands by quality first, fit for a foreign client second and price third:
- Track record – named clients, the kind of systems they run and years on the market.
- Reviews – only three companies have Clutch profiles with reviews, so I say clearly where reviews exist and which other signal I relied on where they do not.
- Delivery model – where the engineers actually sit. Two companies deliver mostly from Asia, and I say so in each review.
- Fit for a foreign client – English-language service, international offices and experience with clients outside the Netherlands.
- Price – Clutch hourly rates and minimum project sizes where they exist.
- Registration – every company is Dutch-founded, and I give the KvK number of the Dutch entity I found.
I left out the Dutch offices of foreign IT groups and Dutch brands now owned by foreign groups. I also dropped one Amsterdam company because the legal entity Clutch verified for it is Vietnamese. Team sizes below are Clutch figures where given. If you can work with a team outside the Netherlands, see the same list for Poland, where rates are lower.
The 9 best IT outsourcing companies in the Netherlands, reviewed
Every IT outsourcing company in the Netherlands below gets the same treatment: who they are, what clients say, the facts that matter when you hire, and my opinion on who should – and should not – work with them.
1. Xebia
Dutch-founded cloud, data, AI and software engineering consultancy with global delivery
Xebia was founded in the Netherlands in 2001, and its Dutch group entities, Xebia Group B.V. and Xebia Nederland B.V., are registered in Hilversum. It provides cloud consulting on AWS, Azure and Google Cloud, custom software development, data and AI, IT strategy and low-code engineering. Much of its delivery runs from large centres outside the Netherlands, including Poland and India, and its Clutch profile is listed under Wrocław.
What clients say. Clutch: 4.7/5 from 7 reviews. Reviewers praise how smoothly its engineers join the client team, clear communication and stable deliverables; one wanted better framing of strategic problems. Named clients include Schmitz Cargobull and Coople.
Facts: founded 2001 · Hilversum · 1,000–9,999 people · $50–99/h · minimum project $10,000 · English, Dutch.
My take: the one I would call first when a cloud migration or data programme needs many senior engineers quickly – just expect a mixed Dutch, Polish and Indian team rather than a Dutch-only one. Best for: cloud migrations, platform engineering and data or AI programmes that need to scale fast. Not for: buyers who want a small team based entirely in the Netherlands.

2. Schuberg Philis
Mission-critical cloud, data and security outsourcing: one team plans, builds and runs
Schuberg Philis is a Dutch IT services company at Boeingavenue 271 in Schiphol-Rijk, with further offices in Rotterdam, Best (Eindhoven), Stockholm and Frankfurt. It builds and runs mission-critical platforms in cloud, data and AI, software and security, and the same team is responsible for design, build and operations. Its customer wall includes Air France KLM, ING, BNP Paribas, PostNL, Port of Rotterdam, Philips, Heineken, Achmea and NS.
What clients say. I found no Clutch profile and no usable reviews. Its customer list – banks, an airline, the Port of Rotterdam and PostNL – is the strongest signal, because these are workloads that cannot go down.
Facts: Schiphol-Rijk (Amsterdam area) · English, Dutch, German.
My take: the premium choice for systems that must stay up 24/7, and the clearest example in this list of one accountable team for build and run. Best for: regulated or high-availability workloads in banking, aviation and logistics that need one partner for build and 24/7 operations. Not for: small app builds on a tight budget or simple staff augmentation.

3. Info Support
Family-owned Dutch software engineering and managed-solutions firm, profitable since 1986
Info Support is an independent, family-owned Dutch IT company headquartered at Kruisboog 42 in Veenendaal, with an office in Mechelen in Belgium and a training location in Utrecht. It builds and maintains custom software, data and cloud solutions and runs an IT training arm. It says it has been profitable since it was founded in 1986, and it serves finance, energy, government, pensions, ports and logistics, retail, insurance and healthcare.
What clients say. I found no Clutch profile and no usable reviews. Four decades of independent, family ownership and its sector focus are the signals I would weigh most.
Facts: founded 1986 · Veenendaal · English, Dutch.
My take: the steady, long-term partner here – a good fit when the software has to run for ten years and the team needs Dutch domain knowledge. Best for: long-running custom business software in the Netherlands or Belgium where continuity matters. Not for: low-cost offshore development or quick startup MVPs.

4. Itility
Eindhoven consulting-engineering firm for AI, software, data and IT foundations in high-tech
Itility is headquartered at Flight Forum 3360 in Eindhoven, with offices in San Diego and Austin in the US and in Iasi, Romania. It does consulting engineering in business transformation, (Gen)AI, software and data, IT foundations and managed services, with a focus on high-tech, agrifood, energy and manufacturing. Customer logos include ASML, KPN, NXP, Nexperia, TenneT, Vattenfall, Eneco, Vanderlande and Marel. It is not the US company ITility LLC.
What clients say. I found no Clutch profile and no usable reviews. Its Brainport customer base – ASML, NXP and Nexperia – is the strongest signal.
Facts: Eindhoven · English, Dutch.
My take: the natural pick for high-tech and manufacturing companies, and handy for US firms because it has its own US offices. Best for: high-tech and manufacturing companies that need data, AI and IT foundations with a presence in both the EU and the US. Not for: consumer apps or website projects.

5. Lizard Global
Dutch-Malaysian app, web and AI development studio with fixed monthly packages
Lizard Global is a Dutch-founded software studio with European bases in Amsterdam (Barbara Strozzilaan 201) and Rotterdam and an APAC hub in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from where much of the development is delivered. It builds mobile apps, web platforms and AI products and sells monthly team packages from $7,500 to $12,000. Clutch names Lizard Apps B.V. as the legal entity; I could not confirm that entity on a KvK-based source, so ask which company you contract with.
What clients say. Clutch: 5.0/5 from 71 reviews – the most reviews in this ranking. Reviewers praise project management, delivery and transparency; some ask for less jargon, tighter QA before test releases and faster replies.
Facts: founded 2012 · Amsterdam / Rotterdam · 50–249 people · $50–99/h · minimum project $10,000 · English, Dutch, Malay.
My take: the best-reviewed studio here for a full product team, from design to the app store, at mid-range rates. Best for: startups and SMEs that want a complete app or web product team with a Dutch point of contact. Not for: large enterprise integration or regulated core systems.

6. Sunbytes
Dutch-managed software, QA, security and dedicated teams delivered from Vietnam
Sunbytes is a Dutch company at Stadsplateau 7 in Utrecht whose delivery centre is in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, so most of the engineering happens offshore. It offers custom software, web and mobile development, QA and application support, cybersecurity (penetration testing and compliance readiness) and IT staff augmentation. Clutch lists ISO 27001 certification. The brand dates from 2011; Sunbytes B.V. was formed in 2016.
What clients say. Clutch: 5.0/5 from 11 reviews. Clients praise timeliness, communication, flexibility and the quality of its penetration tests; some asked for more frequent progress updates and more realistic scoping. Named clients include Recurrent Ventures, JancisRobinson.com, SandGrain and Kwadraad.
Facts: founded 2011 · Utrecht · 50–249 people · $25–49/h · minimum project $25,000 · English, Dutch, Vietnamese.
My take: the lowest rates in this ranking, with a Dutch contracting entity in front of a Vietnamese team. Best for: EU and US SMEs that want offshore Vietnamese rates with a Dutch contract and project management. Not for: projects that need engineers on site in the Netherlands.

7. Centric
Large Dutch IT services and software group for government, finance and retail
Centric is a Dutch IT group headquartered at Antwerpseweg 8 in Gouda, with head offices in Belgium, Germany, Lithuania, Norway, Romania and Sweden. It combines its own software for the public sector, retail and financial services with IT outsourcing, managed services and staffing, and its Lithuanian and Romanian offices provide nearshore capacity.
What clients say. I found no Clutch profile and no usable reviews. Its own software products for municipalities, retail and finance are the strongest signal.
Facts: Gouda · English, Dutch.
My take: a big, broad Dutch provider – the right call when you want its own software and the managed IT around it from one group. Best for: buyers who want a large Dutch provider with its own software for municipalities, retail or finance plus managed IT. Not for: startups or one-off product builds.

8. Conclusion
Dutch ecosystem of 30+ specialised IT companies, from consultancy to mission-critical cloud
Conclusion is a Utrecht-based group at Herculesplein 80 that describes itself as more than 30 expert companies. Its domains are business consultancy, cloud and mission-critical, data and AI, enterprise applications and experiences and software development. Its partner and collaborator logos include NS, APG, Eneco, Mammoet, Royal FloraHolland, ProRail and Jumbo.
What clients say. I found no Clutch profile and no usable reviews. The logos on its site are labelled partners and collaborators rather than clients, so I treat them as a softer signal.
Facts: Utrecht · English, Dutch.
My take: a one-stop group for Dutch-centred enterprises, but expect several sister companies to be involved in one project. Best for: Dutch-centred enterprises that want consulting, enterprise apps (SAP, Microsoft) and managed cloud from one group. Not for: buyers who want one small, tightly focused team.

9. ilionx
Dutch IT services group for cloud apps, data and AI, hyperautomation and managed services
ilionx is headquartered at Van Deventerlaan 121 in Utrecht. It offers digital strategy, cloud applications, data and AI, hyperautomation, security and managed services to healthcare, government, retail, transport and logistics, energy, telecom and financial services. Named clients on its site include ProRail, UWV, Intergamma, Rituals, the Belastingdienst and Isala.
What clients say. I found no Clutch profile and no usable reviews. Its Dutch public-sector clients, such as UWV and the Belastingdienst, are the strongest signal.
Facts: Utrecht · English, Dutch.
My take: strong in Dutch public sector and Microsoft work, but its site is mainly Dutch, so it suits companies with a Dutch team more than remote foreign buyers. Best for: Dutch public-sector bodies and mid-market companies that need Microsoft, cloud, data and automation work. Not for: international buyers looking for English-first delivery at offshore prices.

Quality, specialisation and what IT outsourcing companies in the Netherlands charge
Only three of the IT outsourcing companies in the Netherlands in this ranking publish rates, all on Clutch: Xebia and Lizard Global list $50–99 per hour with a $10,000 minimum, and Sunbytes lists $25–49 per hour with a $25,000 minimum. Those two lower-rate studios deliver mostly from Vietnam and Malaysia. The others – Schuberg Philis, Info Support, Itility, Centric, Conclusion and ilionx – quote per project or per managed-service contract, and as a general market observation Dutch onshore rates are close to UK and German levels.
The main choice is between run-focused partners for critical systems (Schuberg Philis), large engineering consultancies (Xebia, Centric, Conclusion, ilionx), long-term custom software builders (Info Support), a high-tech specialist (Itility) and Dutch-contracted offshore teams (Lizard Global, Sunbytes).
How to choose an IT outsourcing company in the Netherlands
Choosing an IT outsourcing company in the Netherlands starts with one question: do you need the work done in the Netherlands, or only contracted there?
- Where the engineers sit – ask for the location of every team member. A Dutch contract does not mean Dutch delivery, which matters for data residency, security clearance and time-zone overlap.
- Who you contract with – many Dutch firms are groups of several B.V.s. Ask which entity signs and check it in the KvK Handelsregister (kvk.nl); a paid extract shows its address, directors and status. Check its VAT number in the EU VIES database.
- VAT – in most cases a Dutch supplier invoices B2B services to a business in another EU country without Dutch VAT under the reverse charge, and services to a business outside the EU generally carry no Dutch VAT either. This is not legal or tax advice.
- Currency and time zone – invoices are usually in euros, and the Netherlands is on CET, which gives US East Coast teams a few overlapping hours each morning.
- Run, not just build – agree service levels, on-call hours and an exit plan before the first sprint.
Also ask the IT outsourcing company in the Netherlands who owns the code and infrastructure configuration, and whether the same people who build the system will support it afterwards.
IT outsourcing companies in the Netherlands: FAQ
The questions foreign companies ask most before hiring IT outsourcing companies in the Netherlands.
Do IT outsourcing companies in the Netherlands work in English?
Yes, IT outsourcing companies in the Netherlands usually work in English without any problem, and all nine in this ranking list English. ilionx’s website is mainly in Dutch, so check the language of the delivery team if that matters to you.
Do IT outsourcing companies in the Netherlands charge Dutch VAT to foreign clients?
No, in most cases IT outsourcing companies in the Netherlands do not charge Dutch VAT on B2B services to a business in another EU country, because the reverse charge applies, and services to a business outside the EU are generally outside Dutch VAT too. Check your own situation with a tax adviser – this is not tax advice.
How much do IT outsourcing companies in the Netherlands charge?
IT outsourcing companies in the Netherlands in this ranking charge $25–49 per hour (Sunbytes) to $50–99 per hour (Xebia and Lizard Global), according to Clutch. The other six quote per project or contract and do not publish rates.
Is every IT outsourcing company in the Netherlands delivering from the Netherlands?
No, not every IT outsourcing company in the Netherlands delivers locally. Sunbytes delivers mainly from Vietnam, Lizard Global from Malaysia, and Xebia has large delivery centres in Poland and India, while Schuberg Philis and Info Support are Dutch-based teams.
My verdict: which IT outsourcing company in the Netherlands to hire
Choosing among IT outsourcing companies in the Netherlands depends on what you are outsourcing. For cloud and data programmes that need scale, hire Xebia. For mission-critical systems that must be built and run by one team, hire Schuberg Philis. For long-term custom business software, hire Info Support. For high-tech and manufacturing, hire Itility. For an app or web product on a startup budget, hire Lizard Global.
Whichever IT outsourcing company in the Netherlands you choose, put the delivery locations and the named team leads in the contract – that is where Dutch outsourcing deals differ most.
