Best IT Outsourcing Companies in the US (2026): 9 Firms Reviewed

Most foreign companies that look for IT outsourcing companies in the US want one of two things: an engineering partner with a US contract that works in US hours, or a managed services provider that runs the IT of a new US office. This ranking is written for a company from the EU, the UK, the Nordics or Asia that is entering the US market or already sells there. I am Adrian, an SEO consultant in Wrocław, and I research and write every ranking on this site myself. I kept 9 firms, all incorporated and headquartered in the US.

IT outsourcing companies in the US at a glance

If you only have a minute, these are the IT outsourcing companies in the US I would shortlist as a foreign company, in the order I would contact them. The first six build software; the last three run IT and cloud operations. Each is reviewed below, with its legal entity data on its company profile.

  1. EPAM Systems – NYSE-listed engineering firm with large delivery centres in Central and Eastern Europe, India and Latin America.
  2. Unosquare – Nearshore engineering teams from Latin America, run from the Portland area.
  3. Gorilla Logic – Nearshore product teams from Colombia, Costa Rica and Mexico.
  4. Perficient – Digital consultancy for CX, commerce, data and AI, owned by the Swedish private equity firm EQT.
  5. Improving – IT consulting, nearshore engineering and training from the US, Canada and Mexico.
  6. 3Pillar – Product development partner for software and data products.
  7. Ntiva – Managed IT, cybersecurity and cloud for small and mid-size US organisations.
  8. Thrive Operations – Managed IT, cloud and security provider that also covers UK and Asia-Pacific offices.
  9. Rackspace Technology – Nasdaq-listed managed multicloud provider for AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and private cloud.

How I ranked the IT outsourcing companies in the US

I ranked the IT outsourcing companies in the US by quality first, fit for a foreign client second and price third:

  • Reviews – I quote the Clutch rating and the number of reviews where a profile exists, and I say where the sample is too small. Where there are no usable reviews, I name the strongest other signal.
  • Delivery model – onshore, nearshore or offshore. I say where each firm’s engineers actually sit, as far as the firm itself states it.
  • Track record – years on the market, team size, named clients and, for listed companies, the accounts they file with the SEC.
  • Ownership – I disclose it where I found it: Perficient has been owned by the Swedish private equity firm EQT since October 2024.
  • Registration – every firm is incorporated in a US state and headquartered in the US. The legal names come from SEC EDGAR for current and former listed companies and from the firms’ own legal notices for the others; I did not check the state registers myself, so confirm the entity before you sign.

I left out US offices of foreign IT groups and offshore shops with only a sales address in the US. I also dropped Wizeline: it was founded in San Francisco and Clutch lists a San Francisco address, but the only contact address on its own site is in Mexico City, so I could not treat it as US-headquartered. Team sizes are Clutch bands or the firms’ own figures. If cost matters more than a US contract, see the same list for Poland, where rates are lower.

The 9 best IT outsourcing companies in the US, reviewed

Every IT outsourcing company in the US below gets the same treatment: who they are, what clients say, the facts that matter when you hire, and my opinion on who should – and should not – work with them.

1. EPAM Systems

NYSE-listed engineering firm with large delivery centres in Central and Eastern Europe, India and Latin America

EPAM Systems is a software engineering and IT services company listed on the New York Stock Exchange and headquartered in Newtown, Pennsylvania. It does product engineering, data, cloud and AI work for large companies, delivered mostly from big centres in Central and Eastern Europe, India and Latin America – which makes it one of the few US-headquartered providers with deep European delivery. Its Form 10-K filings with the SEC show revenue of about $5.46 billion in 2025, up from $4.73 billion in 2024. The team size, the hourly band and the $100,000 minimum come from its Clutch profile.

What clients say. Clutch: 5.0/5 from 1 reviews. One review is not a meaningful sample: it praises EPAM’s sense of responsibility and its fixed-price delivery. The stronger signal is its public-company reporting – audited annual accounts on SEC EDGAR – and its scale.

Facts: founded 1993 · Newtown, Pennsylvania · 10,000+ people · $150–199/h · minimum project $100,000 · English, Spanish, Polish, German, Ukrainian, Russian.

My take: the safest pick for a European or Asian group that wants one engineering partner with a US headquarters and a US listing, and teams in its own time zone. Best for: large European or Asian companies that want one engineering partner across US and European time zones for multi-year platform work. Not for: small projects or start-ups – the Clutch minimum is $100,000 and the model is built for enterprise programmes.

2. Unosquare

Nearshore engineering teams from Latin America, run from the Portland area

Unosquare is a software engineering company from the Portland area in Oregon that builds dedicated nearshore teams, mostly in Mexico and other Latin American countries, and embeds them in its clients’ own teams. It covers custom software, QA, data and cloud work. Its privacy policy names unosquare, LLC with a mailing address in Lake Oswego, while its site footer says unosquare, Inc. – so ask which entity will sign your contract.

What clients say. Clutch: 4.9/5 from 40 reviews. Reviewers such as GTreasury, RSNA and a former Axos Bank executive praise on-time, high-quality delivery, close collaboration and engineers who blend into the client’s team. The criticism that comes back is that estimates could be better.

Facts: founded 2009 · Lake Oswego (Portland), Oregon · 1,000–9,999 people · $50–99/h · minimum project $250,000 · English, Spanish.

My take: the best-reviewed nearshore option here and my pick for a foreign company building a US product team that should work in US hours. Best for: companies setting up a US product team that want engineers in US time zones at Latin American rates. Not for: small projects – Clutch lists a $250,000 minimum.

3. Gorilla Logic

Nearshore product teams from Colombia, Costa Rica and Mexico

Gorilla Logic is a software development firm from Broomfield, Colorado, with delivery centres in Medellín, San José (Costa Rica) and Guadalajara. It builds web, mobile and data products for US companies, usually as long-term agile teams. Its privacy policy names Gorilla Logic LLC but gives no state of formation, and I did not find out who owns it today.

What clients say. Clutch: 4.9/5 from 23 reviews. Clients such as EnergyCAP, Inspirato, Gaia and Weedmaps praise communication, quality and on-time delivery and describe the team as real team players. A few reviews are mixed on how assertive its project management is and how closely it follows process.

Facts: founded 2002 · Broomfield, Colorado · 250–999 people · $50–99/h · minimum project $250,000 · English, Spanish.

My take: a close second to Unosquare – pick it if you want delivery spread across Colombia, Costa Rica and Mexico rather than mainly Mexico. Best for: product companies that want a dedicated nearshore agile team working in US hours. Not for: short or small engagements under $250,000.

4. Perficient

Digital consultancy for CX, commerce, data and AI, owned by the Swedish private equity firm EQT

Perficient is a digital consultancy and IT services firm headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, with more than 7,000 advisors, engineers and designers according to its website. It does experience design, commerce, data and AI work and implements platforms such as Adobe, Salesforce and Microsoft, with nearshore and offshore delivery. It was listed on Nasdaq until October 2024, when EQT, the Swedish private equity firm, completed its take-private through its BPEA Fund VIII. It is still US-founded and US-headquartered, but it is now foreign-owned and no longer files annual accounts with the SEC.

What clients say. I found no usable reviews – the Clutch profile I tried returned an error. The strongest signal is its size and its platform depth; its site names Rochester Regional Health as a client.

Facts: St. Louis, Missouri · 7,000+ people · English, Spanish.

My take: the one to call when your US launch depends on a large Adobe, Salesforce or commerce implementation led by people in the US. Best for: mid-size and large companies that need US-market digital platform work (CX, commerce, CRM) with onshore US leadership. Not for: buyers who want a small, founder-led team or a firm without private equity ownership.

5. Improving

IT consulting, nearshore engineering and training from the US, Canada and Mexico

Improving is a Texas IT services company based in Plano that offers AI, data, application and platform services as well as training. Its privacy policy says it operates through offices in the US, Canada and Mexico, and its site cites 21 offices in 7 countries and more than 2,500 consultants. The typical set-up is US consultants close to the client, backed by nearshore teams in Mexico, including staff augmentation. The entity named in its privacy policy is Improving Corporate Services, LLC, “and its affiliated companies”.

What clients say. Clutch: 5.0/5 from 3 reviews. The reviews praise timely delivery, steady communication and good augmented staff – Skimmer’s CTO cites a 50% increase in his team’s delivery. Three reviews are still a small sample.

Facts: founded 2006 · Plano, Texas · 2,500+ people · $150–199/h · minimum project $10,000 · English, Spanish, French.

My take: a good middle path if you want US consultants you can meet in person plus a nearshore team behind them. Best for: companies that want onshore US consultants backed by nearshore Mexican teams, including staff augmentation. Not for: buyers who need many public reviews to compare.

6. 3Pillar

Product development partner for software and data products

3Pillar (3Pillar Global) is a product development firm headquartered in Fairfax, Virginia, that builds software and data products for media, fintech, healthcare and information-services companies, from product strategy and UX to engineering. Its site has moved to 3pillar.ai, and the footer names 3Pillar Global, Inc. I could not confirm where its delivery teams sit, so ask how much of your work will be done in the US and how much nearshore or offshore.

What clients say. I found no usable reviews: its Clutch profile has none. The signals I would rely on are 20 years on the market and a team in the 1,000–9,999 band on Clutch, so check references yourself.

Facts: founded 2006 · Fairfax, Virginia · 1,000–9,999 people · $150–199/h · minimum project $10,000 · English.

My take: worth a call if you want a full product team rather than extra developers – but do your own reference checks. Best for: product companies that want a full product team covering strategy, UX and engineering. Not for: buyers who rely on public reviews – the Clutch profile has none.

7. Ntiva

Managed IT, cybersecurity and cloud for small and mid-size US organisations

Ntiva is a managed IT services provider headquartered in McLean, Virginia, with service locations in Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, New York, Texas and the Washington DC area. It runs outsourced helpdesk, infrastructure, cloud migration and cybersecurity for small and mid-size organisations – in effect the IT department of a new US office. Clutch names the company Ntiva, Inc.; its own footer only says “© Ntiva”, and I did not check who owns it.

What clients say. Clutch: 5.0/5 from 18 reviews. Clients praise responsive, customer-centric service, strong infrastructure, cloud and security work and long relationships. Some find it expensive; others call it fair value.

Facts: founded 2004 · McLean, Virginia · 250–999 people · English.

My take: my pick if you are opening a US office and need someone to run laptops, the helpdesk and security from day one. Best for: foreign SMEs opening a US office that need a full outsourced US IT department (helpdesk, devices, security). Not for: software development or nearshore engineering.

8. Thrive Operations

Managed IT, cloud and security provider that also covers UK and Asia-Pacific offices

Thrive Operations, which markets itself simply as Thrive, is a managed services provider headquartered in Foxborough, Massachusetts. It offers managed IT, cloud hosting, cybersecurity (a security operations centre with managed detection and response) and disaster recovery. Its privacy policy lists operating entities in the UK, Canada, the Philippines, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia, so it can also support a foreign parent’s offices outside the US. I use its legal name here to avoid confusion with unrelated US companies called Thrive.

What clients say. I found no usable reviews: the Clutch profile under the name Thrive belongs to an unrelated Australian agency. The strongest signal is its international footprint, confirmed by the operating entities named in its own privacy policy.

Facts: Foxborough, Massachusetts · English.

My take: the managed services provider I would pick for a mid-size group that wants one provider for its US office and its UK or Asia-Pacific offices. Best for: mid-size international companies that want one provider covering their US and UK or Asia-Pacific offices, including security services. Not for: software development projects.

9. Rackspace Technology

Nasdaq-listed managed multicloud provider for AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and private cloud

Rackspace Technology is a managed cloud provider listed on Nasdaq and headquartered in San Antonio, Texas. It runs and supports workloads on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and private cloud, including managed security and application operations. Its Form 10-K filings show revenue of about $2.69 billion in 2025, slightly down from $2.74 billion in 2024 – read the latest filing before you sign a multi-year contract.

What clients say. I found no usable reviews on Clutch. The strongest signal is its public-company reporting: the annual accounts on SEC EDGAR show its size and its trend.

Facts: San Antonio, Texas · English.

My take: a large operator for US cloud infrastructure – ranked last only because it does not build software and its revenue is slowly shrinking. Best for: foreign companies that need their US cloud infrastructure run around the clock by a large managed services provider. Not for: custom software development, or small firms on a tight budget.

Onshore, nearshore or offshore: where IT outsourcing companies in the US deliver

Few IT outsourcing companies in the US write all their code in the US. The software firms in this ranking are US-incorporated and US-headquartered – the contract, the account management and often the architects are in the US – but much of the engineering happens elsewhere. Unosquare, Gorilla Logic and Improving deliver from Latin America (Mexico, Colombia and Costa Rica), which is in or close to US time zones; this is what Americans call nearshore. EPAM delivers mainly from Central and Eastern Europe, India and Latin America, and Perficient uses both nearshore and offshore teams.

That is not a trick – it is how the US market works, and it is why the nearshore firms are cheaper than a fully onshore team. It also has a side benefit for a European buyer: an EPAM team in Central or Eastern Europe works your hours, while a Latin American team works US hours, which suits you best if your product people are in the US. What matters is that you know where your team sits, which entity signs the contract and which law governs it. The three managed services providers – Ntiva, Thrive Operations and Rackspace – are different: they run your IT and cloud rather than build software.

Quality, specialisation and what IT outsourcing companies in the US charge

IT outsourcing companies in the US are expensive by European standards, and the US firms on Clutch publish hourly bands: $50–99 for the nearshore specialists Unosquare and Gorilla Logic, and $150–199 for EPAM, Improving and 3Pillar. Minimum projects run from $10,000 (Improving, 3Pillar) to $100,000 (EPAM) and $250,000 (Unosquare, Gorilla Logic). Perficient and the three managed services providers publish no rates; managed IT is normally quoted as a monthly fee after an assessment of your users, devices and systems.

Three practical points for a foreign buyer. The US has no VAT, and state sales tax rarely applies to B2B services sold to a company abroad, though a few states tax some IT services, so ask for the tax treatment to be stated in the quote; in the EU or the UK you normally account for VAT yourself under the reverse charge. Invoices come in US dollars, so plan for the exchange-rate risk on a multi-year contract. And US contracts are governed by the law of a US state – often New York, Delaware or the provider’s home state – so read the IP ownership, liability and termination clauses carefully.

How to choose an IT outsourcing company in the US

Choosing an IT outsourcing company in the US starts with what you need done:

  • A product team in US hours – Unosquare or Gorilla Logic, nearshore teams at $50–99 an hour.
  • A large, multi-year engineering programme – EPAM, with US headquarters and European delivery.
  • A platform implementation for the US market – Perficient for Adobe, Salesforce, Microsoft and commerce work.
  • US consultants plus a nearshore team – Improving.
  • A full product team from strategy to engineering – 3Pillar.
  • The IT department of a new US office – Ntiva, or Thrive Operations if you also need cover for UK or Asia-Pacific offices.
  • Running US cloud infrastructure – Rackspace.

Then check the company itself. Find its legal name in the contract or privacy policy and look it up in the free Secretary of State business search of the state where it was formed – often Delaware – to confirm that it is active. For listed companies such as EPAM and Rackspace, read the latest Form 10-K on SEC EDGAR. Private US companies publish no accounts, so ask for client references and, for a large contract, a bank reference. US firms work between Eastern Time (ET), usually six hours behind Central Europe, and Pacific Time (PT), nine hours behind: an East Coast firm overlaps your afternoon by two to three hours, while a West Coast firm starts work as your day ends.

IT outsourcing companies in the US: FAQ

The questions foreign companies ask most before hiring IT outsourcing companies in the US.

Do IT outsourcing companies in the US charge VAT?

No, IT outsourcing companies in the US do not charge VAT, because the US has no VAT. Do IT outsourcing companies in the US do the work in the US?

No, not always. Most IT outsourcing companies in the US in this ranking are incorporated and headquartered in the US but deliver much of the work from Latin America, Central and Eastern Europe or India. Ask where your team will sit and put it in the contract.

How do I check an IT outsourcing company in the US?

My verdict: which IT outsourcing company in the US to hire

The right IT outsourcing company in the US depends on the job. For a large programme with European delivery, hire EPAM. For a nearshore product team in US hours, hire Unosquare, with Gorilla Logic as the alternative. For a big Adobe or Salesforce implementation, hire Perficient. For the IT of a new US office, hire Ntiva, or Thrive Operations if you also need your UK or Asia-Pacific offices covered. For running US cloud infrastructure, hire Rackspace.

Whichever IT outsourcing company in the US you choose, get the contracting entity, the governing law, the delivery location and IP ownership in writing before you sign.
